Sophia Hortin

Sophia’s background is deeply intertwined with agriculture, beginning with her upbringing on her family’s corn and soybean farm in Fisher, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in both agriculture and consumer economics, specializing in farm management, and agricultural education.

Sophia manages a portfolio of farms for clients. She is also responsible for Clearview Farm, a regenerative agriculture and community engagement farm in Champaign, Illinois.

Outside of her professional pursuits Sophia enjoys returning to her roots by lending a hand to her dad and brother on her family’s farm during planting and harvest seasons. A former Illinois FFA State President, Sophia champions opportunities for youth in agricultural education and FFA through FFA alumni groups and mentorship programs. She also finds joy in time spent with family, friends, and traveling.
