The Agribusiness Committee promotes and helps educate our membership about Agriculture. Each year the committee sponsors the Come Wine with Us event, an annual showcase of the impact agriculture has on the local economy. The committee also host speakers to help educate our business members on different Ag related topics.
The Champaign County Farm Bureau Foundation provides educational opportunities that impact the future of the food and agricultural industry in Champaign County, and around the world through the Ag in the Classroom program and college scholarships.
In addition to providing services to the vision and hearing impaired locally and throughout the state and national foundations, the Mahomet Lions Club has many other volunteer service-oriented projects and fundraisers that benefit the local community.
The United Methodist Church was created on April 23, 1968, when The Evangelical United Brethren Church and The Methodist Church united to form a new denomination.
The County Board currently has 11 Districts, with two members representing each District for a total of 22 Board members. The County Board Chair is elected from the Board members.
